A Closer Look at Your Attention and Activity

QBCheck uses computerized tasks to measure areas commonly associated with ADHD, including attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. The assessment collects measurable information during the testing process rather than relying only on self-reported experiences.

The results can provide additional information for your provider to consider alongside your symptoms, history, and other relevant clinical information.

What Happens During QBCheck?

The assessment is completed using a computer and involves a series of visual tasks. During the session, your attention and activity levels are monitored while you complete the assigned tasks.

QBCheck evaluates three primary areas:

  • Attention – Ability to maintain focus during tasks
  • Hyperactivity – Levels of physical movement and activity
  • Impulsivity – Tendency to respond quickly without sufficient consideration

The assessment typically takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

Preparing for Your Assessment

A quiet and comfortable environment can help you complete the assessment without unnecessary distractions.

Before your session:

  • Choose a quiet space with adequate lighting.
  • Use a desktop or laptop computer rather than a mobile device.
  • Make sure your computer is connected to power and close unnecessary applications.
  • Allow approximately 30 to 40 minutes for the overall process.

From Assessment to Understanding

After completing QBCheck, the collected information can be reviewed by your provider as part of your overall evaluation. The results offer objective information that may help provide additional context about attention, activity, and impulse-control patterns.

QBCheck results are not considered on their own. Your provider can discuss the findings with you and consider them together with other information when determining appropriate next steps.

Why QBCheck May Be Helpful

QBCheck can offer an additional source of measurable information during an ADHD evaluation. Its computerized format allows the assessment to be completed from your own environment while providing information that can complement other parts of the evaluation process.

Depending on your individual circumstances, the information gathered may help your provider better understand your symptoms and consider appropriate treatment or support options.
