What ADHD Medications May Be Prescribed?

We prescribe both stimulant and non-stimulant medications based on each individual’s needs.

Stimulant Medications:

  • Ritalin® / Concerta® (methylphenidate)

Requirements for Stimulant Prescriptions

Before prescribing stimulant medications, we may require:

  • Urine Drug Screening (UDS)
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation

How Can I Schedule Follow-Up Appointments?

Follow-up visits are often scheduled during your current appointment. Additional appointments can be arranged by contacting our team and scheduling online.

How Will I Receive My Medication?

When medication is prescribed, it is electronically transmitted to your preferred pharmacy. Certain controlled medications may require ongoing telehealth appointments and additional clinical requirements.

Can I Request Prescription Refills?

Yes. Prescription refills are generally addressed during scheduled follow-up appointments. Please allow sufficient processing time. Refills for stimulant medications may take up to 48 hours to be sent to the pharmacy, and controlled medications typically require regular follow-up visits.

Can a Family Member or Friend Join My Therapy Appointment?

Yes. With your permission, a trusted family member or friend may participate in your session when appropriate to support your care.

How Can I Tell If Therapy May Benefit Me?

Therapy may be helpful if you are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional challenges, or difficulty coping with daily responsibilities. It provides support, guidance, and practical coping strategies.

Are Virtual Therapy Appointments Available?

Do You Provide Inpatient Mental Health Services?

No. Primetouch Healthcare provides outpatient telehealth services only. If a higher level of care is needed, we can help direct you to appropriate resources.

Do You Treat Children and Teenagers?
